  Why is the Wagner count so high? Is this a Craig protest vote?

  That was the point I was trying to make earlier and I think that the current poll proves that fact. In the County Executive poll nobody really wanted Wanger, it was just either Craig or Wagner and no other choice at first. In the Council President poll, nobody wants Wagner because they have so many other choices. Craig has made some mistakes, but I think it is a resounding rejection of Wagner that we will see in the Council Presidency poll.

  Hmmmm,
  I think I am underestimating the amount of anti-Craig voters. He has made some mistakes but I personally did not feel they were bad enough to vote for someone like Wagner. You are completely correct on the Council Presidency poll. People have options and they are some good options. I think this is the race to watch.

  I do not think the Wagner votes are anti-Craig votes from within the party. Remember, this site is accessible to all. I have a very strong suspicion that some Helton folks were having some fun with the poll. If anything the Anti-Wagner factor within the party is much higher than anything Craig could have possibly set off.

  I agree with you Goldwater. I was thinking about that today. Wagner is a great candidate for democrats. I bet a majority of the votes for Wagner were democrats. Even after seeing the numbers for that poll my gut still said Wagner would lose to Craig if they went head to head. The poll that is up right now shows that we have a two horse race and that Wagner will be third man out.
