I look at this list (and thank you for compiling it, it is very informative and gives a good perspective) and I am amazed at the lack of Democrats out there campaigning or running. It appears that Nancy and Bob Hooper will have free rides, Council C,D,E,F are all going to be free rides after the primary along with the Council Presidency.
I think as Republicans, this should tell us that we strongly need to focus on the areas that the Democrats are running in and to target their base of support for this upcoming election. I would like to see all the Republican candidates that make it through the primary to work constantly in the Route 40 corridor to turn out as many Republicans and make it a landslide victory. All the other Council members that make it through the Primary (and the ones that don’t, be a good Republican) should be constantly working to knock of Dion Guthrie, stop Mary Dulany James and ensure that the County will be on the right track, both in the legislature and in the General Election.
We should ask for a commitment from every person running, that after the primary they will devote their full time to this cause.
